Wendy Fox
Multidisciplinary Designer and Illustrator
Women’s Gold Medalists | Rio 2016
I’m a designer, creative strategist and visual thinker based in Melbourne with a background that spans service, strategic, brand, graphic and interior design across studios and in-house organisations. My experience has involved tackling tricky problems - inclusion, disability, healthcare, inequality and climate change as well as amplifying arts and culture - from branding, illustration and print to digital publications.
I’m passionate about finding ways - unexpected, unconventional or otherwise - to create a
shared understanding and help us make better decisions about the challenges affecting people and
our planet. I created Women's Gold Medalists - an interactive and illustrated data visualisation of all the women who won gold medals at the London and Rio Olympics - with the purpose of depicting female athletes as positive role models and celebrating the athletic potential of women and diversity in body types.
My work has been recognised by the Premier’s Design Awards, AGDA, AIAP Women in Design Award, American Illustration, HOW Magazine, Creative Quarterly, Luerzer's Archive 200 best Illustrators Worldwide, 3x3 Magazine, Desktop Magazine, the Association of Illustrator's and the Society of Illustrators NY.
